Applebee's Food Review
On September 15, 2012, I went out to dinner at Applebee's with my family. It was family weekend at Wittenberg University and my mom, aunt, and cousin came to visit me. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30pm and there were enough parking spaces for us to park. When my family and I went inside, it was busy and there was a wait. We had to wait for 15 minutes so they can clean and prepare the table. I didn't like how noisy and crowded it was, because of all the different conversations and televisions. The lights were dim and all the waiters and waitresses were dressed in various sports gear. The smells in the atomsphere were delightful, I was getting hungry.
Finally, we got seated at a booth that was slightly uncomfortable but there was a pleasant view. However, the table was sticky and my mom pulled out a wet wipe and wiped the table down. Our waiter came to the table and he was polite, he asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked for a strawberry lemonade and so did everyone else. Also we ordered mozzarella cheese sticks because my mom and I as well as my aunt and cousin did the 2 for 20 deal where you get an appetizer and an entree. The drinks came quick and the lemonade was delicious and sweet. The mozzarella cheese sticks were crispy and cheesy. Next, our waiter asked if we were ready to order. We said yes and proceeded. I ordered this Southern shrimp fettucini without the spices. The meal came fast to the table, my fettucini looked sophisticated. The noodles were long, the shrimp was light pink and cooked well, and there were chives sprinkled on top. My cousin and I ordered the same meal and we both agreed that the noodles were dry, so we asked the waiter if he could bring us some alfredo sause. Once I put alfredo sause on the noodles, the meal tasted better.
Overall, my meal was good but the noodles could have been seasoned better. My family enjoyed their meals and I had fun spending time with them. Applebee's is a nice family oriented place and the service was fast. The restaurant could work on the atomsphere, the seating
